Founded in 1844 by “Sausage Meister” Johann Carl Freybe in Stettin, Germany. - Fourth generation Ulrich Freybe moved the business to Canada, opening a production operation in Vancouver in 1955. - The family-owned Canadian business is now led by the family’s fifth generation, Henning Freybe. The sixth generation, Sven Freybe will take over the business from Henning. - In 2001, Freybe opened a new 10,000 sq. meters (120,000 sq. feet) state-of-the-art facility in Langley, producing more than 120 varieties of sausage, ham and specialty meat products. - Freybe employs more than 250 dedicated associates in their new plant, serving customers across Canada, the United States and Japan. - An innovative concept in product training, Freybe Deli School offers courses to deli owners on product selection, customer loyalty, effective merchandising, pricing strategies, product handling and sanitation. - Freybe is the first North American company to declare its products
gluten and lactose free. |
